Historical and Musical Significance:

Originally recorded in 1968, A Little Less Conversation was not one of Elvis Presley’s biggest chart hits in its initial release—but in 2002, Dutch DJ and producer JXL (Junkie XL) transformed it into a global sensation. The JXL Radio Edit Remix was featured in Nike’s “Secret Tournament” World Cup commercial campaign, instantly capturing international attention and reintroducing Elvis to a new generation of fans.

The remix reached #1 in over 20 countries, topping the UK Singles Chart for four weeks and becoming one of the most successful posthumous singles in history. The pairing of the original 1968 version on the B-side makes this 7" an ideal collectible for both Elvis purists and those who appreciate the cross-generational appeal of the remix.

Condition:

Original 2002 U.S. pressing, well-preserved and in excellent collectible condition. Crisp labels, clean grooves, and a strong playback profile. Exact grading details can be provided on request.

Why Collectors Value This Single:

  • Chart-Topping Remix – a rare example of an Elvis track reimagined for a modern audience that achieved massive international success

  • Dual Appeal – includes both the JXL remix and the original 1968 version

  • Original 2002 U.S. Pressing – not a later reissue

  • Cultural Crossroads – ties Elvis’ legacy to the electronic music scene of the early 2000s
